Pop up Pup – another success

Around 30 villagers met up at the Pop-Up Pub in the Tithe Barn on Friday 2nd February. The barn was warm and comfortable, and the refurbished upstairs bar is very nice, so well done to the Tithe Barn committee! It is always nice to see new faces, as we did this month, so if you haven’t been along pop down on the next date, which is Friday 05 April, at 7.00 pm.

We’d like to thank everyone who has come along to the 2-monthly meetings over the last year. We’ve seen various numbers of villagers, but even when there’s only a few of us there, there have been smiles and laughs all round.

We would also like to thank you all for your generosity, which means that not only has the Pop-Up Pub become a self-funding event, it has also raised some modest excess funds for the Tithe Barn. Helene and I have held back sufficient funds to pay for the Pop-Up Pub for another year, but we also have an excess of £70 now made as a donation to the Tithe Barn fund.

We hope to see you there – Bob & Helene Dysart

However this doesn’t happen by magic and Mandy would like, on behalf of all those that have attended any one of the pop up pubs to thank Bob and Helene for organising these evenings. They go early to get out tables, chairs, glasses and bowls and stay until the end to clear up. I appreciate some of you help at the end, but Bob and Helene are always last out. The evenings are a great opportunity to chat with folk not seen for a while, especially newcomers to the village. Well done Bob and Helene, and Thank you
