Fitzhead Village

A very special afternoon

Greenery and creativity were the order of the day in Fitzhead Tithe Barn on Sunday December the 3rd, when a delightful Christmas wreath-making event took place.

Around 31 women and girls spent the rainy afternoon working hard to create table centrepieces and beautiful wreaths, each one different to the next, made from scratch with wire, straw, garden greenery, and individual decorations.

They also greatly enjoyed festive tea and cakes, as well as mulled wine and apple juice, with Christmas music in the background.

It was the fifth year that villagers got together for the popular event, which was organised by Louise Martin, with help from Megan Sully, Mandy Bool, Jane Burton, Janet Weeks and Anna Crosse.
