The summer tea at the Old Rectory on Sunday 8 August went really well! The sun shone and the wind dropped after a while. Tables overflowed and people sat on the haha bridge and grass too.
A thousand thanks to Alex and all the McLoughlins for hosting such a great village event. It was a lovely, safe get together outdoors with copious tea and cake, bric a brac, tombola, raffle etc.
The final tally was £580! Thank you everyone for baking and helping. Thanks too for coming and making such a happy day and to Connie for her persistent run of luck on the tombola!
Here’s to the next event …. all ideas gladly received.
Best wishes from the PCC for St James’ Church
