Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on so many people. Following months of not being able to meet together in person it has tested us in ways we never expected, but for many of us, it has also bought us closer together.
As we begin to return to normal, we want to pause and say thank you to everyone who got us through, that is why the churches of this benefice are joining in with the country’s biggest ever thank you party on Sunday 4 July!
Across the UK, communities, individuals and businesses will be getting together to eat, drink, play and say ‘thank you’ to each other.
Let’s come together at St Michael’s Church on 4 July at 9.30am to thank everyone …. volunteers, staff, congregations, community members, etc.
For instance… Ash Priors we have recently said thank you and au revoir to John and Judith Bentley, our Churchwarden and Organist, as they leave to be closer to family.
At Fitzhead we say thank you to Mandy Bool and her team for keeping everyone connected during the pandemic.
At Halse, we say thank you to all the community members who have worked so hard to get The New Inn up and running as our community pub.
At Milverton, we say thank you to Stewart Floyd, the milkman, who does so much more for this community than just delivering the milk, and is supposed to be retiring…we shall see….
Let us all come together to take part and say ‘thank you’ to each other.
