Mary, Colin and Janet are looking forward to seeing lots of you at our almost Midsummer Singalong this Saturday, 19 June from 3pm in Tithe Meadow. Covid precautions will apply, but we can still enjoy ourselves singing a huge range of songs, being together and having a good natter, during the interval, of course. The two Choirmasters might have something to say if too many people natter whilst they are supposed to be singing!
Bring plenty of cash with you as we’d like donations for cake, there should be plenty, and for the raffle. There will only be one major raffle prize at this event so any of you who donated goods for another hamper, fear not, these will be used at another raffle in a summer event.
Janet will be selling several varieties of Marmalade, Damson Jelly, Bramble jelly, Forced Rhubarb and Blood Orange Jam, a fruity Rhubarb chutney and anything else she can find in the depths of her preserves cupboard. All jars will be £2.50.
We will have different types of cake on offer, including vegan and gluten free and for those of you without a sweet tooth, Janet will be baking cheesy, seeded Flapjacks (provided she can find the recipe!)
We’d like you to bring your own drinks and cups though. Janet will also have some spare plants to sell as she went a bit mad sowing seeds this year, no change there then. We will have several chairs on offer for those of you who need them but we ask anyone else to bring their own.
Keep your fingers crossed that the weather will be kind to us. See you in Tithe Meadow!
