Fitzhead Church news in February

Around the country, churches are suffering due to a lack of collection at Services during the pandemic. Fitzhead is no different and beginning to struggle with the day to day heating and graveyard maintenance, insurance etc.

We are planning a Spring hamper raffle inspired by Janet Weeks and Mary Ewing in particular; also a splendid Auction of Promises in the Autumn Half Term organised by Abi Wickham who also ably runs the famous Fitzhead Fete for the Tithe Barn and Church combined – let’s hope we can all celebrate a lifting of lockdown life then.

As happens in other parishes, may we encourage you to consider a regular donation, preferably gift aided to the upkeep of our parish church?

Regular giving really helps with steady running and may then make it possible to budget for any extra expenses such as the 14 yew trees which are overdue for trimming.
The bank details are below with our sincere thanks.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for the wonderful support from all our volunteers who continue to clean, polish the brass, flower arrange beautifully and keep the place open and welcoming for all, any daytime and for those special occasions when we all need our local church.

Best wishes for this challenging time and hope on the horizon,
The PCC
Anna, Mary, Alex, Sandra and Nicola
