It is great to be back in church, the church is open for private prayer during the day, please sign in on the track and trace form and use the antibac supplied. Our Sunday services have felt rather different, keeping far away from others, wearing masks etc. but at least the bells are ringing, the organ is playing and the church is feeling loved and cared for.
We are celebrating Harvest Festival on 4 October at 6pm, in the churchyard around our beautiful refurbished preaching cross. Please bring a chair, suitable clothing and a picnic. As we are outside there can be some singing and if we keep spaced out we will not need masks, we may be finishing our picnic as the sun sets so torches or well supervised candles may add to the atmosphere. (if wet…bring an umbrella). There will be a service , hopefully, on Remembrance Sunday at 3pm…but we cannot yet be certain what format this will take as Covid 19 restrictions are changing all the time. If you wish to be kept informed about church activities etc please sign up for the benefice e-bulletin by emailing milverton.vicarage@gmail.com, and if you do not use email please ring 01823 400305 and we can deliver a bulletin to you each week. Thank you to everyone who is caring so lovingly for the church and churchyard and to our new church council overseeing it all.
Blessings to you all.
